How does Prospan work?
Prospan’s powerful active ingredient, hedera helix a special triple-action cough medicine, which works by:
  • relieving coughing
  • loosening mucus
  • and easing the urge to cough

What is the dosage recommendation for adults?
A child’s dose of Prospan is as follows:

 

2-5 years 2.5ml 3 x per day
6-9 years 2.5ml 3 x per day
9-16 years 5ml 3 x per day

How long do I need to take Prospan for to feel the benefits?
Duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of your cough, however to feel the benefits of Prospan, treatment should last for at least one week even in minor inflammations of the respiratory tract. Maintain for 2-3 days after symptoms have subsided in order to ensure lasting results of Prospan.

Does Prospan have any known side-effects?
In rare cases, Prospan may have a laxative effect due to the content of sorbitol in the product. If you have any doubts about administering Prospan, please consult to your healthcare practitioner.

What’s Prospan’s shelf-life?
Prospan should be stored below 25 degrees celsius and has a 3-year shelf-life.
