What is Nasodren?
Nasodren quickly and effectively relieves the symptoms of sinusitis. It is a nasal spray containing cyclamen extract, which reduces inflammation in the sinuses and helps drain and decongest the sinuses. When sprayed, once per day, into each nostril, Nasodren thins mucus, opens the sinuses and facilitates rapid drainage of retained mucus. Users will feel the effects of Nasodren within a few minutes of the very first spray.

What does Nasodren contain?
Nasodren contains a lyophilised (freeze dried) extract of cyclamen europaeum. The patient mixes the powder with purified water (supplied within Nasodren pack) to complete preparation of Nasodren.

How do I use Nasodren?
Nasodren is supplied as a powder that users mixed with purified water (supplied). Once mixed, Nasodren should be stored in the fridge. To use Nasodren, take a breath and hold. With your head upright, spray Nasodren into each nostril and then breathe out through the mouth. Do not inhale while spraying. Do not spray more than once per day into each nostril. What happens after using Nasodren?
Some patients experience a brief period of itchiness, irritation, sneezing or watering eyes. After a few minutes you may notice or increase in nasal secretions. This is entirely normal and indicates that Nasodren is starting to take effect. Use Nasodren at the same time each day during the course of treatment. Nasodren should normally be used for 7-9 days.

I am pregnant or breast-feeding. Can I use Nasodren?
Nasodren has not been tested in either pregnancy or breast-feeding. Therefore, use is not recommended.

Can children use Nasodren?
Children aged 5 and over can use Nasodren. Dose (one spray per day into each nostril) is the same as for an adult.

Can I use Nasodren if I am taking other medications?
If you are concerned about possible interactions with other medications, please discuss with your healthcare practitioner.

Can I increase the dose of Nasodren?
Each spray of Nasodren will have an effect for 24 hours. There is no benefit to spraying more often.

I forgot to take one daily dose of Nasodren. What should I do?
Simply take a single dose on the next day. Do not increase the dose to compensate.

I have nasal polyps. Can I use Nasodren?
Nasodren can be used provided that the polyps do not completely block the nasal passage.

We recommend using until the bottle is empty – usually around 9 days from commencement.
