What does LomaLips cream contain?

LomaLips Cream contains the active ingredient Melissa officinalis (Lemon Balm) Leaf extract dry concentrate 10mg/g. (Equivalent Dry leaf 700mg/g). It does not contain aciclovir.

What is Melissa officinalis (Lemon Balm)?

Melissa officinalis is a herb that used medicinally over two thousand years ago, and has been traditionally used on the skin for its soothing effects. The Lemon Balm used in LomaLips has been extracted using a water extraction method rather than chemical solvents.

When and how often should I apply LomaLips Cream?
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before and after application
  • Apply at the earliest sign of drying or tenderness around the lips or face
  • Apply to the affected area(s) 2 to 4 times daily
  • Apply in a thin layer (1-2mm)
  • We recommend you apply LomaLips with a cotton bud
  • If you apply it using your fingers – please ensure you wash your hands thoroughly before and after application
  • Continue application as recommended until symptoms disappear – normally 3- 10 days. If symptoms persist, please see your healthcare practitioner.

Will LomaLips Cream dry out the skin surrounding the coldsore?

No, LomaLips is very gentle on the uninfected skin surrounding the coldsore so it will not dry it out like many other common coldsore treatments.

Are there any cautions concerning LomaLips Cream?

 

  • Do not use LomaLips in the eyes.
  • LomaLips is for external use only.
  • Do not use if the nozzle is punctured.

What is the shelf-life of LomaLips Cream?
